"Holy Crap! Blogger's working!"

You know it's been a long week when. So, I've been meaning to update forever now. My internet was being moody. Seems to be ok now. Anyway, the images on the last post are ginourmous. For that, I apologize. I will make 'em much more user friendly.

So, what's new? Well, not a whole lot. I know, I know. This is not what my readers want to hear. Er. Read. Whatever. So, let me regale you with fantastical tales of this week.

Aside from dragon-slaying (wait, I don't like how this is starting. I like dragons. Alright, second draft...) Aside from helping protect the endangered species of dragon I encountered, the adventure to Morocco I enjoyed and the dashing dark and handsome man I married, I overused many cliches and spent my time at either Blockbusters or Securenet. Riveting, I know.

In other news, I recieved another great package from my secret pal (this woman is on my good list forever). This time, I was gifted with lovely handmade stitch markers.

It's eerie how dead on this girl is with me. How could she have known that I love those little leaf beads? Or that flowers make me happier than almost anything? She is "teh awesome" (Thanks to my sister for her random leet/online anime speak influence).

I've also got a picture of the Beckie Cardi back for you.

Isn't she pretty in all of her rolling glory? Sadly, her long lost family of fronts and tie are slowly making their way into this world. I had to completely rip the left side after getting about 20cm done. Why? Because mysteriously, I had lost 5 stitches. I actually went back several times and recounted, hoping to catch where I went wrong. Sadly, it turns out I probably casted on only 42 stitches rather than 45. Where did the other 2 go? Jamaica I'm guessing.

Speaking of Jamaica and other places that I am not currently located in, the weather here has been kooky! First, it's hot as hell (unless you're dante). I'm talking hot enough that you have to sleep naked if you don't have an A/C. It got to the point that Lis and I were camping out in the living room infront of our ancient beastly A/C on my lumpy futon. This heat was followed by opening of the sky and a nice 4 day shower for Ottawa.

Now, it's kind of chilly out. Chilly enough to wear a jacket. Good times. (I miss the East Coast)

Right, knitting. A girl in the Ottawa SnB is doing a big Knitpicks order and so I'm trying to figure out what I want to grab. I have to figure it out by monday. It's a tough call. I want to make this:

Remember the brooch I bought for it? Well, now I have to pick some yarn to match. Thoughts?

They are all "Elegance" by Knitpicks. Personally, I'm thinking Barn Red, Redwood or Fawn. I wish Grass was a deeper green to go with the green in the brooch. I wish I could use Andean Silk, but the guage is pretty off and I'm wary about playing with needle sizes. I'd probably have used "Olive". Mmm. I'm also picking up this pattern (for which I may use the Alpaca Cloud). I'm not sure what else I want.

Well, that's it for now. ;)
