I promised they would come, and so here they are! I apologize for the long loading times ^_^

First, I want to start off by saying I have the greatest secret pal in the world. Elizabeth's final gift to me has made my week. Honestly, she has spoiled me beyond compare.

Oh, you know you're jealous ;)

From left to right; a lovely project bag, made by Elizabeth herself. I love this thing! I've been using it every day since it arrived :) The polkadots are so me! Beneath that are the new found loves of my life...three balls of Plymouth Yarn's Baby Alpaca D.K. weight in colour 2020, which is a lovely burgundy. Honestly, I nearly died when I saw these. I've wanted to work with alpaca since I picked up SnB and saw the chunky alpaca scarf. It became my knitting goal! I'm so happy :) I'm thinking about turning these into a scarf of some sort.

I'm debating between Branching Out, the Leaf lace scarf from the summer VogueK and Backyard Leaves from Scarf Style (though, I would need the book first for that one...) such as the lovely piece here, over at Sweet Georgia's site (scroll down to the 21st). Anyway, beside those lovelies are three boxes of goodies! Butterfinger, junior mints and gummie bears! Yum! Finally, the knitting journal/sketch journal.

Isn't it lovely? I haven't decided what I'll use it for yet, though I adore it all the same. I'm really enjoying her blog :) It's so nice to meet such fantastic new people through this sort of thing. I'm going to enjoy following her antics from now on ^_^.

So, now for a knitting update. Rebecca cardi is going slowly. I'm taking another break after hitting another snag. I seem to be off by one stitch again. This happened to me just a little while ago in the same place, and I had to pull back already. Apparently, I didn't fix the problem.

I'm going to be working on it further at my friend's place tonight. Sarah Beth is hosting a small get together and ordered that I bring my knitting along for the ride. Little does she know, I'm also going to force her to pick a poncho pattern for her gift ;) Alas, I digress. I am making some progress on Beckie Cardi. It's just slow going.

I'm really just trying not to focus on the zoominess of Lis. The woman has nearly finished her baby blanket, is half way through a dog sweater and is starting on The Death Sweater of Rebecca 29 (you know that crazy honeycomb sweater on the cover? Uh-huh). You should go see!

My spring fling, Lelah, is coming along slowly as well. I'm getting alot of interesting reactions to the page name of the pattern site. Apparently, Boozehag isn't a part of the average person's everyday vocabulary. Hmm. :)

I think I messed up somewhere, but I don't really care right now. It's a pretty quick knit. The colour is actually much richer than the picture shows. I really need a better camera (damn you, making me lust after the Nikon D100) She's being made with super duper extremely cheap acrylic yarn that I got on sale at Zeller's for a buck a skein. How could I refuse? It's really soft and actually quite nice for acrylic (please refer to question one of the secret pal survey).

So I went a little overboard...;) Anyway, it's all very sweet. I don't know what I'm going to do with it all yet. Maybe two lelahs? Hmm. Perhaps the very cute Glampyre shrug?

In other news, I've decided to post my top 5 (lesser-known) favourite knitting blogs, just to share and give them a bit more publicity. To be fair, I'm excluding the wonderful Lis and fabulous Elizabeth. It goes without saying that I adore my bestfriend and my secretpal :) In no particular order:
-Knit Wit
Super duper sweet, adorable layout and wonderful knits. She posts alot of other neat craft stuff and is more than willing to help out when you have a question for her.
-Almost Felted
Hilarious and so very nice. A fun read with alot of different things to offer (her life, her knits, crafts, issues and much more). Definately a daily read for me.
-Lolly
A lovely lady. A fun read with some great knits. Honest and sweet, with a fantastic layout :)
-Domestic Affair
Oh, I love this one :) Crafts, recipes, fantastic knits! She's witty and intelligent. A great read.
-Absinthe Knits
I love this page. Seamstress extraordinare, lovely knit pieces, and great posts. A fun and intelligent read. Posts great links too.

Finally, to answer a question I recieved earlier this month... how much of a BPAL addict am I?

It's a sickness. I will be swapping/selling some of these off as I'm only really in love with a few. Oh, and one final picture. The reason why you have to be quick when taking a shot:

About two seconds after I took the last one. Byron and the Prof need to be in the middle of everything.
