The Knitting Maevan

Do you ever have one of those days that just don't work out for you? I don't have the masterful command of words that Yarn Harlot does, so my stories tend to sound more like whining rather than amusing tales of woe. So, to spare you my grief I'll summerize:

-Waking up at 6am after the time change
-Walking to work in the rain
-MAJOR failure at work
-Office ran out of sugar for tea/coffee about 2 hours in.
-I'm not allowed to leave my office at all. Ever.
-Crankiness due to all of the above
-My family driving me up the wall
-Worrying about a fantastic person in my life
-Weighing myself at my parents' place

Despite this, I still have a smirk. Why for, you ask? Well, number one, Tracy leant me her copy of Piece by Piece. Secondly, I have been listening to The Beekeeper all day. Finally, and most importantly...

A present from my secretpal! How exciting! Heeee :) This has brightened my day beyond words. I got a lovely knitting postcard, a sheep measuring tape (!!I love these!!), a caramel apple lollypop, an adorable and perfect notions bag filled with useful things... namely, my favourite part:

Handmade stitch-markers!! Aren't they lovely? I wish the picture could have turned out better :) I love them so very much! It's so fantastic, especially considering I was looking into buying some fancy ones in the near future :) Secretpal Lady, you know me too well ^_^ *squee*
