And I'm spent! What a long week. I did my History Theory and Method presentation today. I had to lead a seminar on the topic of Orientalism and how tattooing serves as corporeal evidence for a very abstract idea. Wee. I don't think it went as well as planned. I get waaay too nervous about these things.
Yesterday was a great! After catching up on all the episodes of Desperate Housewives that I've missed, I decided I needed to spend money I don't have. Lis and I, despite the rain, went on a knitting excursion. We met up with Isaac downtown and spent some serious cash at Yarn Forward and Chapters. Now, by spending serious cash, I meant that
I spent some serious cash.

Beautiful isn't it? In there, we have some yarn for my secretpal, some yarn for my french market bag, a new journal, and, my favourite part, the new Rebecca 29 and the new Vogue. *content sigh* Soooo many things I want to make! I updated and organized my "need to make" list on my WIPs page. You should check it out.

Here's the pretty Patons yarn for my French Market Bag. The MC will be the leaf green, complimented by the Petal pink for the handles and the bottom. Wee! Excitment.

I'm also making GREAT progress on this drop stitch scarf. I'm very pleased! I should be done it this afternoon! I can't wait to send it off to my friend. I hope she likes it :)
So, there's my news in a nutshell. The final bit is the most obvious: Minor page updates. I made this thing more spring like. A little choppy, I know. I just needed something to match my mood and this fantastic weather we're having!
Oh! One last thing... The yarn harlot herself is coming to town on her book tour :) Can't wait to meet the lovely lady and pick up a copy of her book for my very own. Hee.
