I was going to post this morning in my sinus pain stupor, but my wireless network decided to go MIA and I had to go to school without sharing my news, pain and so forth.
So, I have finished another project. I'm pretty impressed with myself. Nothing fancy of course, just a pair of bulky mittens, but I'm happy.

The one downside is that I don't know what to work on yet. You see, I'm pretty broke right now, and while I have a sizeable stash, I don't have much in way of needles. I suppose I could raid Mum's collection...*plots* I would really like to start on something a little more complicated than my usual fare. I want to be able to say "I'm working on a sweater" on of thse days, you know? I was thnking about a cardigan or a ballet-style top so that I can still wear it when I finish it (considering it'll probably take me into the summer). At the same time, I'd like to work on the French Market bag and finish my winter set (finish with a scarf and hat). Hmm. Dilemma. Doesn't help that I am completely enamoured with so many projects in the new Vogue and FCEK. Le sigh. I should really be starting on Pat's hat. Woe is me.
In other news, I finally got Knit Wit from my sister. I blame the hype that I kept reading about it, but I am slightly disappointed with the book. Then again, I felt the same about Last Minute Knitted Gifts, which I now love. I'll ive it some time. A least it has Kyoto in it. And a really nice sweater for boys (which may be made if a certain romantic prospect works out). Oh well. I don't regret buying it. It'll just have to grow on me. Meanwhile, at least it's given me another book to add to my lovely collection, as well as something to show off at my next Meetup. Now,
I've revamped my links, getting rid of a few I wasn't so enamoured with and adding a few that caught my eye. Anybody feel like recommending a few new reads to me? I love a good knitting blog :) Personally, I recommend
Midnight Knitter. Her post was fantastic today :)
I updated my
Amazon Wishlist. Woo. I've also decided I am going to need
this (or
this) and
this. Online window shopping is fun. For anyone who enjoys neat shirts, I recommend
Threadless.com. Unfortunately, being a medium myself, stock gets sold out pretty early on. Oh well.
Well, I think that's basically all I had to say today. Take care all.
