I have finished another project. I now have a shiney new pair of mittens. They ended up being a little bit big, but I love them anyway. I'll post pictures once I get home tonight (I'm at work right now). I was going to make a matching hat and scarf, but I'm feeling less inspired now that the weather is getting warmer. We'll see :) I am very tempted to make a cabled scarf (to teach myself cabling) and to give myself something to wear around my wee neck until Summer. I was tempted by the Irish Hiking scarf, though I think I may do something like this instead. Despite being about a foot into the "Mom's Sophisticated Scarf" from SnBN, I can't seem to get myself to work on it. I love the basketweave and moss stitch pattern, but it just doesn't seem me. Maybe I'll pick it up another time.

Meanwhile, Lis and I picked up copies of the new VogueKnitting and the fall Family Circle Easy Knitting. Ooooh, so many pretty things I want to make! I'll scan som pictures and show you guys sometime later. Despite all of these potential projects, I think I'm going to do Pat's hat (finally found a pattern that'll do from the Patons "Where did you get that Hat!" pattern book) and then work on my bag. Oh! Right, I forgot to mention. I'm no longer in love with Meema. I think I'll make her another time. For now, I think I'm going to make the French Market bag and maybe the Rugged Shoulder Bag. We'll see. I am really tempted to start on a sweater. I want to start getting some real projects under my belt.

Lately I've been getting some really interesting responses to my knitting. I, shamlessly, knit during my lunches at school. For the most part, this has been met with curiousity, encouragement and awe. I have a small group of fans who enjoy seeing what I'm working on and fondling the yarn I bring in. At the same time, I recently had a young chap comment on how I have nothing of substance to say, that I only talk about knitting all the time (which, according to the conversation was lame). Of course, I did just announce to him that I wasn't interested in dating him. I think he may have been bitter.

Anyway, that's all for now :)
