The Knitting Maevan: A page of craftiness

The Knitting Maevan

Do you ever get the urge to just drop everything your working on and just make something for yourself? Anything, just something for you? I still have three Christmas pieces to work on. I have very patient friends and family. (Slippers for Tracy -the pink and purple mohair-, hat for mum -the blue and purple Chenille-, and a hat for pat -was going to be black worsted, looking like grey wool/acrylic now).

Meanwhile, I want to drop all of that and work on the Meema back from SnB. I want to make it in blue and green (specifically, this and this).

Tomorrow Lis and I are going to Yarn Forward to pick up some wool for this personal selfish project of mine. If I don't see anything I like, I may just wait and order it online.

I really want to make something similar to MidnightKnitter's scarf. I have fallen in love with tweed yarn, such as this, and this. I also want to own some alpaca.

On that note, I have been drooling over the following online stores:
-Knit Witts
-Purl Soho
-The Knitting Garden

Shopping is a dangerous thing.

BTW, I promise to post about Christmas whatnot soon, I swear. Let me have a day off first.
