Roleplaying is a form of improv acting. Sometimes it's hard to get into character. Here is a collection of movies, music and so forth which we find helpful to finding the right mood, or affection, for our games. (Even out of context of game play, we recommend these :D)

-"I Am Legend" Richard Matheson (Heather: A fantastic collection of creepy stories, including a very cool short story about Vampires)

-"Of Saints and Shadows" Christopher Golden (
Heather: One of the coolest fictions concerning modern vampires. Highly recommended for a modern day VtM game)

-"Bitten" Kelly Armstrong (
Heather: A modern take on what it's like to be a female werewolf. Interesting mythology.)

-Any works by Charles de Lint (
Heather: Great for mixed mythology, though specifically shamanism, shapechanging, changeling/fae. My favourite writer. It's all urban fantasy)

-Any works by Neil Gaiman. (
Heather: Great for mixed mythology again. Deals with urban versions of faerietales, urban magic, modern day gods, fae, etc...)

-Brotherhood of the Wolf. Fantastic french werewolf movie. Sets the mood perfectly. (Heather)
